| Welcome to Shannon’s Learning Jungle! A brand new home daycare located in the Kanata/Stittsville area. My love of children has led me to a profession in childcare. I graduated with honours from the Early Childhood Education program at Algonquin College. I was a full-time Preschool Teacher at a licensed daycare centre for 6 years where I then became Head Teacher. I have over 11 years experience with all age groups. I am certified in CPR and First Aid and a member of the Child Care Providers Resource Network. I have taken many workshops including sign language, behaviour guidance, autism awareness, and sensory integration.
I am a mother of 11 month old twins. As my maternity leave comes to an end I have decided to use my childcare knowledge and skills and open a daycare in my home. The basement of our home is dedicated to my daycare. We live in a smoke-free home with a fenced-in backyard. We are around the corner from parks and a splash pad. ... more |
